The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management assumed the Honorary Patronage of the POLECO fair

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was established in 1989, during the political transformation, as the first public institution of this type in the world. While maintaining its unique character in the world, the National Fund has continuously played an important role in the implementation of the state's environmental policy for over 30 years.

Thanks to stable income, competent and experienced staff and developed forms of cooperation with beneficiaries, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is the main link in the Polish system of financing environmental protection and water management, having the greatest financial potential in this area. Various pro-ecological investments are implemented with the participation of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, especially the largest, most important, also the most innovative, often of strategic importance for the country.

By consistently supporting the sustainable development of Poland, the National Fund offers loans, subsidies and other forms of co-financing of projects implemented, inter alia, by local governments, enterprises, public entities, educational and research institutions, social organizations. In the public finance sector, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is also the largest partner of international financial institutions in Poland in servicing foreign funds, especially EU funds, allocated to ecology.

The National Fund is the Implementing Institution for the 1st and 2nd priority axes of the EU Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020, the main goal of which is to support the economy that uses environmental resources efficiently and in a friendly manner.
