POLECO 2024 will be held under the Honorary Patronage of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was established in 1989, during the period of political transition, as the first public institution of its kind in the world. Maintaining its unique character in the world, the National Fund has played an important role in the implementation of the state's environmental policy for almost 35 years. Thanks to its stable revenues, competent and experienced staff and developed forms of cooperation with beneficiaries, the NFOŚiGW is the main link in the Polish system of financing environmental protection and water management, having the greatest financial potential in this sphere.

With the participation of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, various pro-ecological investments are implemented, especially the largest, most important, also the most innovative ones, often of strategic importance for the country. Consistently supporting Poland's eco-development, the National Fund offers loans, grants and other forms of co-financing for projects implemented by, among others, local governments, businesses, public entities, educational and scientific research institutions, and social organisations.

In the public finance sector, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is also the largest partner of international financial institutions in Poland in handling foreign funds, especially EU funds earmarked for ecology.
