Good waste management practices
“Let's talk about...”
4th edition
October 14-16, 2025, Poznań, MTP, hall 6, stage

The “Let's talk about...” conference is a meeting place for the waste industry at a key moment of dynamic legislative and technological changes, both at the national and European level. Experts, representatives of administration, business, and industry organizations will discuss the directions of development of the circular economy and good practices in waste management.

The focus will be on:

  • changes to the system for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and batteries.

The scope of the planned amendment to the act and new interpretations of the regulations by environmental protection inspectorates will be discussed. Participants in the debates will analyze the impact of these changes on the operation of e-waste processing plants and discuss the European Commission's ongoing consultations on, among other things, the evaluation of the WEEE Directive and the harmonization of waste classification.

  • the Packaging Regulation (PPWR) adopted this year.

The topic of changes in packaging and packaging waste management will also be addressed, from design and recycling to reuse and new business models. Participants will discuss investments, infrastructure development, and the management of other municipal waste fractions, such as plastics, paper, and wood.

  • Extended producer responsibility (EPR).

Speakers will discuss the need to develop eco-modulation in the EPR system and to jointly design rules that promote recycling. Data on the circularity of the plastics system in Europe will also be presented.

  • Cross-border movement of waste.

The context of new EU regulations will be presented, including Regulation 2024/1157, the digitization of procedures, and the notification obligation (PIC) for code Y49, which will cover e-waste and waste from its processing from 2025. Conference participants will gain up-to-date knowledge about upcoming obligations.

Particular emphasis will be placed on technological aspects:

  • modernization of processing lines,
  • transport optimization using video monitoring and GPS systems, as well as
  • investment financing opportunities within the framework of the circular economy and waste management.

Participants will also learn about the practical experiences of municipal facility users, ways to improve operations, and modern digital tools to support waste stream analysis.

The conference will not only be an opportunity to gain the latest knowledge and learn about good practices, but also a space for open debate and exchange of experiences.

We invite everyone who wants to actively shape the future of waste management in Poland and Europe to participate.
