Innovations that have gained recognition — winners of the POLECO 2025 Gold Medal
The POLECO 2025 fair proved to be an arena for impressive innovations — the jury of the MTP Group's Gold Medal competition once again selected solutions that stand out not only for their modernity, but also for their real contribution to sustainable development and improving the functioning of cities.
The award-winning projects include fire-resistant stabilisation systems, advanced recycling technologies, automation of municipal processes and solutions supporting intelligent urban infrastructure management.
‘The shift in emphasis resulting from deficiencies in waste management in Poland is reflected in the special position of systems, devices and products designed to improve this area of environmental protection,’ says Professor Andrzej Mizgajski, chairman of the competition jury.
The award-winning products stand out not only for their quality, but also for introducing completely new solutions to the Polish market. Undoubtedly, one of them is the award-winning BELL-TYPE CONTAINER - IGLOO360 by CONTENUR POLSKA Sp. z o.o. It is the first bell/igloo-type container in Europe, and perhaps in the world, manufactured from high-density polyethylene using injection moulding. Typical bells/igloos are manufactured using rotational moulding. Injection moulding offers a huge technological advantage over rotation, which has a direct impact on the final product, says Bernadeta Kieszek, the company's sales coordinator.
Kamila Babkowska from Terberg Matec Polska also talks about the advantages of the award-winning product – the Speedline SLM + ICON side-loading vehicle from TERBERG MATEC POLSKA Sp. z o.o. . "The Speedline SLM side-loading system, in combination with large-size containers, is the first partially automated system in Poland operated by a single operator. It combines efficiency, ergonomics and safety, enabling work with large-size containers up to 3,200 litres and weighing up to 1,500 kg.
Among the winners was also the zero-emission municipal sweeper Kärcher MC250 e!ectric by KARCHER Sp. z o.o. Paulina Szewczyk from the company's marketing department lists the advantages of the award-winning product: "The sweeper has been designed for maximum functionality and ergonomics. The modern lithium-ion battery system guarantees long operating times and fast charging, while intelligent energy management optimises energy consumption in all conditions. The MC 250 electric also offers exceptional comfort for the operator - a spacious cab, intuitive control panel and excellent visibility are the standard that professionals expect today.
The award-winning solutions also show how important it is to use modern technologies in every area of city functioning and design, including municipal services.
The award-winning SmartEco System Globtrak from GLOBTRAK Polska Sp. z o.o. sets a new standard in municipal management. As Magdalena Kruk-Ubysz from the company adds: "The greatest innovation of the SmartEco System Globtrak is the use of artificial intelligence in the service of safety. Our system not only detects pedestrians around the vehicle and warns the driver of danger, but also actually saves lives. We develop solutions that enable cities and companies to build a smart and safe future. By integrating the entire transport, municipal and urban infrastructure into a single system, we support the circular economy (CE) and the development of the smart city concept. This makes the SmartEco Globtrak System not only a technology, but also a strategy for the future of cities and businesses.
